Dishes for Ramadan

Assalam Alaikum Sisters and Ramadan Mubarak to you all!

Insh'Allah I hope that you all have had a successful start to your fasting!

I have been graciously asked to contribute Ramadan dishes to Tasty Corner, so for the next few weeks you will see me blogging about some dishes that I enjoy during this month.  One common theme in my food is simplicity. When you are fasting, the last thing you want to do is slave over a stove. These dishes don't warrant you spending hours in the kitchen, maybe 30-40 minutes, tops!  Insh'Allah I hope you enjoy this series.

This first dish is for suhoor/sehri/the early breakfast. It is the first time I am trying it out and so far I am pretty satisfied with it.  What is it you ask? It's Muesli (pronounced moose-ley).  One of the reasons why I am enjoying this dish so much is that it's light yet hearty.  I find that I can't eat heavy stuff in the morning for sehri and I usually eat a bowl of cereal. Muesli is a great substitute. It's full of oats, nuts, fruit, yogurt and milk. Head on over to Hinna's Kitchen to learn more about this wonderful breakfast cereal!
